ROTMAN GMAT CLUB SPOTLIGHT KEY TAKEAWAYS 2026 Gautam Vasanmal, Recruitment Officer for Graduate Programs at Rotman PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Rotman School of Management offers three MBA programs: a 20-month full-time MBA, a 32-month evening MBA, and a new 12-month one-year MBA. The full-time program includes a four-month paid internship, while the evening program allows students to work while studying. And this is the inaugural year of the one-year program, so a lot is still unknown, including how the industry views this program compared to the flagship program that has been around for years.

Having said that, for those on the other side of 30 and already holding a master’s degree, like me, the one-year program offers a compelling proposition.

Ivey started a pilot program for internships as part of the 1 year MBA. About 70 students did an internship last year.

Ivey above Rotman is a revelation!

I was under the impression that Rotman was above the others. While the FT ranks Ivey above Rotman, QS ranks Rotman much higher than Ivey, and the general online consensus also appears to be that Rotman is the best Canadian MBA.

Mba programs in Canada may move to the 1 year format, similar to Ivey and Smith. This is new for Rotman. Either way, Rotman has an excellent reputation on Bay Street, so the 1 year MBA is a good choice if you have a business background. Your 1 year cohort joins the 2 year mba program during their 2nd year.

I think 2 years mba will be good fit as compared to 1 year right?
