Please check the conditions for getting a waiver for IELTS or TOEFL:
1. You should either be born in a country whose native language is English. There is a certain list of countries over the Rotman's website which are authorised as English native countries.
2. You must be from a country where the primary business language or the government language is English. Countries like India and Pakistan works.
3. You have completed your undergrad degree in English as a medium of instruction.
4. You visited some exchange programmes where the primary language was English and it was at least one year long in duration.

For point 4 you would have to email the university in advance to check if it is eligible or not.

Hi Rishabh,
Being an Indian and undergrad with MOI as english, will I be eligible for IELTS waiver? Or whether it has other conditions as well?

I am applying for master of Management for May 2027 intake as an International Student for India and am conflicted between Rotman and Schulich. I have some questions if someone can answer them.
About me:
I graduated as a computer science student and have almost 1.5 years of work ex as a software developer. I scored a 680 in gmat classic and am thinking of taking the GMAT again in a couple weeks.
I am confused about the following:
Are there any other schools I should aim for? Or are Rotman and Schulich good?
How can i get scholariships?
Is it important I take GMAT since it isn’t a requirement as per program criteria? I have good grades in statisticss etc during my undergrad and have rankings in math Olympiads too.

1. Why rotman and schulich specifically? Pls share long term goal.
2. Why MIM?

GMAC updated its percentiles. More details in the post. Your 95%ile is now 94. Similar drops against other scores as well.

1. Rotman because its one of the top B schools and its always been one of my dream schools in Canada. As for schulich, I have friends who graduated with and MIM from the same and have only good things to say.
2. MIM aligns more with my goals of getting either into consultancy or continuing development but being able to qualify for application to managerial roles for jobs. I have a work ex of 1.5 years which makes me a fresher and therefore a better candidate for an MIM than for an MBA. Its comparatively cheaper than an MBA and is has a shorter duration giving the same work permit.

I meant, why only canadian schools? If that is a criteria, then these 2 are definitely the best for your goals.

If you are skilled then yes. I have friends working in tech and doing very well.
