I recently gave GRE and obtained a score of 318 (QA: 165, VA: 153). I am looking forward to applying to MBA schools in the US, Canada, and Europe. Please evaluate my profile and allow me to know if I stand any chances:-
Undergraduate Percentage: 75.6% in B.Tech in ECE
Undergraduate School: Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research, Govt of NCT of Delhi institution affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
Work Ex: 2 years in EY, Gurgaon as an SAP Consultant
Extra curriculars:-
- Worked as a marketing consultant with a startup called Mentored Research for 10 months (deals with imparting educational courses on economics, finance and risk management). I helped them expand their operations to over 60 colleges across India from just 8, and I have an LOR from the CEO testifying the same as well.
-Felicitated with Extra Miler Award in February 2018, for working in a team of 3 to complete end-to-end development of the 2 most complex and critical products of EY within a month on cloud.
Felicitated with Spot Award (Q4 FY17) for delivering EY Sales Dashboard in 2 weeks without any escalations.
Awarded 1st Position in Process Improvement Challenge in EY (NCR Region) held in Q2 FY17.
Served as the Vice Chairperson, IEEE-AIT (college body of IEEE) from 2014-2015.
Received CV Raman Award for Exemplary Scientific Temperament by St.Mary’s School, Safdarjung Enclave in 2011.
Received CBSE Merit Certificate for being in the top 0.1% students of the country who passed in Introductory IT subject in class Xth exams 2009.
Awarded 2nd Position in National Level ODF (Open Document Format) Olympiad 2008 by Richard Stallman (Father of Open Source Technology),
organised by Department Of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, and Sun Microsystems.
Secured 1st position in Regional Level CBSE Science exhibition 2008 held in Delhi.
Secured 3rd Position in Oral Presentation, Physics at the 3rd International Students’ Science Fair 2007 hosted by City Montessori School, Lucknow
in which over 160 schools and colleges from India and various countries like USA, Australia, UK, Russia, etc. had participated.

Wow, that's a lot of awards. Congratulations on your hard work for all of these. Here is our assessment:
- Your experience at EY and your work with Mentored Research is excellent, and will give you an edge.
- That said, you are coming in from an Indian IT background, and that will put you into a very competitive pool. While a GRE score of 318 is decent, would encourage you to raise this by 5-7 points more, to be more competitive. You should try and raise this a bit before applying to Rotman.
- You have some good innovation experience (the ones for which you got the Extra Miler and Spot awards, and won the Process Improvement Challenge) and some leadership experience (IEEE-AIT) that you should look to leverage. Keep in mind, though, that recognitions such as the CBSE Merit Certificate, or the Oral Presentation in Lucknow, and the ODF competition are now dated (almost a decade old), so they will have less value. Focus on quality over quantity in your applications.
