Tomorrow marks the 4 week mark from the deadline. So let's hope people were right and they start rolling on through. Already past 4 on the East Coast so thinking it's not today :'(

Boy, how I wish I could just go into a hibernation mode and wake up once all the decisions are released!
It's particularly painful with Sloan as I feel I did my best with Sloan's application

Per the MIT Admissions Director blog, interviews would be October 26th to December 4th. They said they would "try to give a week notice" (sic) in the online chats. Tough because you have to submit the additional essay 24 hours before your interview.

I suspect the first invites will roll out later this week and by Monday at the latest.

Either way, I should stop speculating...whatever happens, happens.

I wrote a traditional optional essay and posted it on the space they provided ... so no idea on whether its viewed or not.

Incidentally I got a couple anonymous views fro Greater Boston area. Shld I feel hopefull?? :)

Can't say really. I have 2 entries from Greater Boston Area but one of them is a current Sloan student and the other is my UG university alum. I know for sure that the adcom hasn't viewed my profile. Try to see if you can get the exact names from the Greater Boston Area. That should make it clear.

Yep, from the admissions blog:

"Admissions Committee is busy reviewing Round 1 applications. We will begin sending out interview invitations in mid-October and continue until the week of November 9th, at which point each applicant will receive an updated status."

We're midway through October 15th, officially mid-October I'd say... here's hoping we all get some good news soon!

EDIT: I guess midway through tomorrow would actually be the midpoint of October... I took the GMAT a long time ago :oops:

Absolutely. What surprises me is that they haven't viewed many optional questions (mine included). I wonder when are they planning to view them and do they have sufficient time even.
