Does anyone know what percent of applicants mit interviews and what percent accepts?

25 to 30% invited for interview and then 50% finally selected. Basically the odds of selection is nearly 1 out of 8.

normally 1 out of 5 will be accepted. Since not everyone being accepted will finally go, so they will accept more than 1/8

I think that's not the case. You are right in suggesting that not everyone will accept Sloan's offer. Hence there is an yield rate. Ideally last year 4700 applied with 407 getting admitted. So if we consider the yield at 100%, it is a 1 out of 11. But since the yield was 62%, around 650 got selected from 4700. So that puts the selection at roughly 1 out of 8.

Does anyone know how to track if someone has viewed my optional essay on google drive?? I know I can track the changes, but I am not sure if I can track when someone has viewed/downloaded the document.

Good luck to everyone with your applications!!

LOL... just kidding.

Possibly got a view on my linkedin profile this past week. Can't say for sure. I got multiple views from users in the private mode. Could be or could be someone else.

Hi guys,
I went through Sloan's admissions FAQ but couldn't get an answer to this:

I got 2 awards since having submitted the application in R1. Should I mail AdCom with their details? Or mail them asking if I can mail? Or is it written somewhere that we shouldn't provide supplemental information?

Thanks!

Normally you are encouraged to advice the adcom of anything that helps them understand you better (positively, of course). So I would say give them a call (anonymously if you are worried) and ask them how to include something of value after the application deadline.

Good luck!

I'm curious about this as well...however I recall this snippet from the application submission confirmation:

"The Admissions Committee has everything it needs to make its decision and we ask that at this time you do not submit any supplemental or replacement materials."

This is a good find. Keep in mind that adComms commonly complain about applicants who do not follow or take direction. Seems pretty clear cut to me. If anything, I would maybe bring it with me to the interview, and show it to them during the "any questions/anything else you would like to share" portion of the interview.

Normally the adcom at MIT asks you in interview - what's new between the time you submitted the application and now? I think that is the best place to showcase this achievement.
