Applied in R1 and waitlisted. Really disappointed as Tippie is my alma mater. Feels like they like outsiders more than alums

I guess waitlist should begin to move soon as a number of students have started accepting or declining their offers. So it's not yet over guys.

How was your experience at Tippie? How is recruiting? I am hearing International students are having some hard time even in some of the highest rated schools, so curious to hear how things are going.

Hi BB,

Thanks for the note and asking about my experience.

Tippie is a nice place to be. It gives a true MBA learning experience. Faculty are awesome or maybe unmatched. Tippie is a very small program so we don't have enough cheerleaders. The program is definitely comparable to any other high rated b-school.

As far recruiting for international student goes, Tippie is no different. Things are really difficult. In my opinion, Iowa MBA program has seen more burns than most of its peer schools. That being said, the internationals who got placed up til now have secured really good roles.
