Imagine my surprise when I log in to my account and find out that I have been admitted. No one told me!

I ended up asking directly when I emailed to double-check it wasn't a mistake since I wasn't called (I was not given any btw).

I guess the other way to do it is this: once you create your UCLA ID there is a link on the portal "View your Financial Aid Provisional Award Letter" but mine still says "Your Provisional Award Letter (PAL) is not available at this time." I suppose if you had an offer it would be there, but then again who knows. The safest bet still seems to be to just ask.

Hmm, do you mean creating an id at https://my.ucla.edu/? I did create one and logged in but I keep getting an error that webpage is unavailable.

That's the one I meant, yeah, it works for me. From my understanding you also need it to accept the offer, right? So you should probably get that fixed =)

Try a different browser and/or PC first to make sure the problem isn't on your end.

For my fellow waitlisters, another month and a half to go!

Also, if I get that rejection email in May or June I will be really mad since I already am in EMBA at Columbia Business School. I took time off to apply to full-time school. At least I just got an interview with Ross? UCLA, you are so close...

Today I received an email inviting me to apply for R3 - I know lower ranked schools advertise like this but since Anderson is a high ranked school I'm wondering if the email is an indicator that an application is worth my time (or if it just pure spam like the rest of them). I personally feel like I have a weaker application in terms of the numbers but story-wise I think it is strong. Any input / experience with the "invite to apply" from Anderson? Thanks in advance.

I can't answer your question directly because I already submitted my application in R2 so they did not send me an email like yours, but I can confirm that I received application reminders (not spam) from schools where I have created an account but did not actually complete my application. I received email reminders from MIT Sloan and Tuck about upcoming deadlines which is supposed to encourage me to complete my application. I suspect many schools have a similar automated system in place.

If what you received is just an automatic reminder email like I mentioned above, then I don't think it is an indication of greater or lesser chance of being admitted in R3.

Thanks for the input; I have received similar reminders from schools that I applied to but I received this email without making any UCLA account whatsoever - I'm assuming they got my info from the GMAC, but my score isn't even in their mid-80% range so not sure why that would register either. Anyone else have any input before I put my time and $200 into the application? Thanks again in advance.

FROM NewsUCLA: Round 3 is coming up!
Happy Monday!  As you know, our Round 2 decision day was last Thursday.  Congratulations to all our admits, and we hope to meet you at our preview weekend, Anderson Days, taking place at the end of this month.

The Round 3 application deadlineis approaching on April 15th so for those readers who plan to submit an application then, don't forget to read through our our application tips series on the blog!  Files will be released to the admissions committee for evaluation right after the deadline, and we'll be busy reading our final applications for the Class of 2017 until the decision release day on June 3rd.  Interview invitations will likely start going out the week of April 20th.  Please let us know if you have any questions!
