There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I was asked to submit an additional statement on "Why an MBA now and contributions to Darden". She mentioned that if I submit it by Dec 1, they will reconsider my application along with R1 decisions if they decide to move from the waitlist.
The admissions woman I had straight up told me that they are not going to move anyone off the waitlist until February. She said the reason for this is that in February they will know who has paid their dues from round 1 and who has not. Once they know how many have declined, they will move forward with admitting people off the waitlist.
Even I haven’t submitted the EA waitlist update yet. She asked me to push my verbal score by a few points and submit any new improvements to my profile, engagement with darden community etc by 1st Feb. but given my work schedule it’s highly unlikely that I can take the test again. I don’t know if there’s a chance just based on profile updates and darden community engagement essay if I cannot take the test.
