Can you share your score breakup?
kt1605
I had my waitlist call today. She said the overall application is good and the verbal score in at the class average. And suggest May be if I can try to take the standard test to improve my verbal score above the class average. I think it’s not gonna convert as I really don’t have time to take test given my work intensity. Is there any other way to showcase verbal strength? I also submitted my TOEFL 110/120 but don’t know if it’s supplementing my profile

I had my waitlist call as well (Domestic)

It was a relatively quick call, she gave a brief overview of the waitlist process and then gave me feedback on my application (I had no actionable items, she said I had a great application & interview but low undergraduate gpa). I asked about the waitlist timeline and she said there won't be any applicants coming off in December, but perhaps a few in February/March. Majority will be coming off in May/June once R2 deposit deadline has passed.

Hopefully this helps manage others' expectations this year and next.

Best of luck everyone!

Thanks for the info. Bummer about the waitlist timeline, I had hoped there would be some coming off in December as it seems as though EA had a big jump in applicants, at least from GMAT club statistics.

Folks, are there any dress code expectations as for the interview?

Being formally dressed never killed any body! I guess they’re the best for any interactions with Adcoms

I have my appointment on monday and will post my debrief...I’m wondering what they got to say....applied with GRE 331 Q170, V161 and good GPA from IIT India

All the best everybody!!

Guys I just had my call with an adcom....general sugar and spice of tough year, tough pool etc., but she did mention that I need to submit an additional essay and she gave me the prompt and Feb 1 deadline....very weird....

I had my adcom call today (Domestic). It was pretty much the same information as the above posters. Increased applications and high EA yield are pushing back the normal waitlist timeline. They won’t make any decisions until late Feb/early March. It sounds like they expect more movement than the last year, but they won’t know until round 1 yields and round 2 application volumes are known.

I also got an essay prompt due February 1st.

Had my call 15 mins ago.

Update requested on GMAT 730 , being a less than average GMAT score for my demographic. Other than that show updates on Why Darden and how you can support the community

Well, she said if considering a R1 clearance the date would be Dec 1, but also mentioned that it is unlikely that it would get cleared in R1. Other updates would be required to be sent by Feb 1 so as to be considered for waitlist clearance by R2. Also there was no essay prompt specifically shared with me, just general updates. Would people who have been asked to share an essay please share the essay prompt?

Perhaps ThisIsWater or NCEng75?

February 1st would be the deposit submission deadline for R1 admits to accept the admission, I guess. That’s why it is unlikely to be converted/evaluated before that.

I was also asked the same improvement. Can we connect?

I was asked to submit on a time when I failed and learnt something...along those lines....but the essay prompts differ with candidates....honestly I’m banking on my other school results

I think everyone in this group is banking on results of other schools, given the rate clearance of WL. Thanks for the info though!
