I did! Super stoked! Makes a huge difference in the overall cost - and it's for BOTH years! :-D :-D :-D

Hey eiram2015,

Is the scholarship amount (not the differential waiver) valid for the second year as well? The mail mentions that the extension to second year depends on academic and overall performance. Is it different from some of the other schools which say that in case you maintain a healthy GPA you will get the same amount of scholarship for the second as well?

Any seniors on the forum may help, please.

The scholarship amount is NOT valid for the second year. Somewhere on there website they indicate that all students can apply for second year scholarships (and they are competitive); however, typically scholarship amounts would be less (probably significantly less) than the first year if any. They hand out more scholarships in the second year with less money.

However, it's important to note that during the second year there are opportunities to TA/RA which come with partial tuition reimbursement and like $1,000 a month or something like that. From what I've heard, a lot of people keep their internship during the second year as well. My understanding is that most students don't have to borrow a lot for the second year.

Thanks, mate! Have you confirmed this with the admissions committee member or an alumni? Just curious.

Also per scholarship email "To increase the likelihood that you will receive a second-year scholarship, dive in to the MBA experience. Take advantage of opportunities to develop your leadership skills. Utilize the many resources available to help you excel in the classroom. The application for second-year scholarships will be open during spring quarter of your first year. "

I haven't been able to find anything about a deposit. Didn't see anything on the admitted student website either.

Admitted with scholarship! I sent a follow-up e-mail to Adcom regarding the chances of receiving the same scholarship amount in my second year - will let you all know what I hear back. It's pretty terrifying to accept an offer based on a scholarship that could dissapear the next year

Per Erin (the MBA Admissions Director), "Due on February 15th is a $500 enrollment confirmation deposit (which ultimately is applied toward your first quarter tuition) and a $450 PRIME fee, which pays for orientation. Both are non-refundable. "

Hi MtotheBA, Did you receive any reply from adcom?

She sent me a response which mimicked the scholarship letter regarding the scholarship being completely dependant on my involvement in the program during the first year, but she did note that they have a similar amount of money available for second year scholarships as first year.

Hey vivek1303,

The Non-Resident Tuition Differential Waiver is for both years, unlike the rest of the scholarship money which can disappear. (Sorry I wasn't on here the last couple days!)
