Reapplicant here. Got an interview last year and didn't make the final cut.

Invites happened about 10-10:30 AM Eastern. Let me know if you have any other questions.

That would be so nice! To receive your invite/reject on a single day especially given the current scenario
Engr2012

They only mentkion 1 date of November 3rd. So I would assume that they will release all decisions on 1 day.

now, we need to make sure to not read too much into this single date. The website does say that the invites will be sent out on 3rd Nov but they might send out dings/WL sometime later.

I got an email that also said: On November 3rd, the Committee will also release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission.

You gotta love the Wharton process. On all other threads, applicants like you and me are worried sick and spend 25 hours a day speculating (myself included). But not when it comes to Wharton. Just one day and it's all going to be equally clear to those fortunate ones who get in and those who don't.

More schools should be like this.

Actually, someone wrote that they have a separate date for dings. I think Nov 3, so that's the day when you don't want to get an email.

No, Nov. 3rd is when they release interview invites so you definitely want to get an email that day.

Since majority of the scholarships are merit based, what are the chances of securing one if your GMAT score is below average? Not much below average but below average nonetheless.

FROM Wharton Admissions Blog: Getting the Most Out of Wharton’s Professors
One of the greatest assets at Wharton are our professors. That may seem obvious – they produce leading research and lead great classes for our benefit. But they don’t just teach; they consult, too, and have a huge number of professional connections out there in the “real world”. And they…Read More

It depends on the entirety of your profile, not just GMAT score. Higher GMAT obviously helps a lot but college marks and everything else also factors in (including straight-up demographics). It's more of how much do they want you, based on what you can add to their class.

Hi guys, I'm planning a small vacation in November, is it known on which dates the interview will be held? Will it be stupid to go on a vacation Nov 12 - Nov 19?

As the interview invites will be sent on 3rd Nov, your vacation period seems to lie in that sweet spot for interviews. As per the email that I received after I submitted my R1 application stated:

"The Admissions Committee will release interview invitations on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. On November 3rd, the Committee will also release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission.

If you are invited for an interview, you will need to complete your interview by Friday, November 20th. Interviews will be available on-campus with second-year Wharton MBA Admissions Fellows and off-campus in various locations around the world by Admissions staff members. These locations will be announced in the coming weeks and all interview options are considered equally within the admission process.

Candidates who are offered an interview will receive their final admissions decision by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, December 17th. "

In the e-mail they've sent after submission, they say that all the interviews should be completed by November 20th.

Don't know where the closest interview spots will be, but if I'm invited I am ready to fly to any of the following locations: Istanbul (or any other city in Turkey), Dubai, Moscow (or several other cities in Russia), any city in Kazakhstan (though I don't think there will be any options in Kazakhstan), Delhi, Mumbai (if I have time to get visa to India).

Istanbul and Dubai are the top choices for me. :)

I'll fly down to philly to Wharton campus as its a couple of hours by flight. This way I'll be able to meet the adcoms and have the TBD conducted at the same place.
