It's the same password as that of your application page. Use the username mentioned above.

I tried using my password and I am not able to login. I am able to login to the application page, so I am positive that my password works.

Anyone else facing similar issue?

You need to click on the forgot passwd link and set a new one or follow the "first time here" link. I did the former.
Hope that helps.

cheers

If you're like me it's because it's not the same as your log-in for the application. Rather than risk getting locked out, just click forgot password and go through that process, which is what I did.

I had the same issue and its a bit disconcerting to feel stupid when you have an invite from your dream school :P

Just use the Forgot Password link, at least that's what I did :)

Dinged...reapplicant here too. Wharton seems to be really reapplicant unfriendly. Know people with worse profiles (essays, recomm) getting invites.

Sorry to hear about your ding (as everyone else's).

But saying that you "know people with worse profiles getting invites"? That's a very strong statement in such a subjective matter.

Best of luck to you in your future endeavours, and keep in mind that it's difficult to predict what each school looks for in a candidate. Better or worse is not the scale they evaluate candidates.

This is interesting as I used the same pw as that for the application. Probably kept the same one for all the links. I do remember creating a mywharton profile in September while registering myself for one of the online webinars. Good to know that the way around this is "forget password" route.

Late to the party but wanted to share my stats!

Invited to interview!

Wanted to echo what was said before here - it's hard to predict what Wharton is really looking for. I think being a woman in finance helped me in terms of demographics, but I also think they take the TBD into consideration a lot (and the post-interview acceptance rate really isn't all that high), so still have to be prepared to rock that!

NEW YORK CITY folks - does anyone want to meet up this weekend to practice for the TBD? Not sure how exactly we can practice but maybe just going over speaking strategy, and running through a mock group discussion?

I'm doing my interview on Nov. 10

To Munkee's post, how do people plan on practicing? Doesn't seem to make sense to pay $500 to do it with one of the consultants. If people would potentially be interested in doing a mock run send me a pm. i have a couple weeks until my interview

It's really hard to predict the team dynamics you will have in the actual TBD because everyone has different leading/teaming styles, unless you happen to know the 3-4 other people in the same session!

Here is the latest on the Wharton interview invites and updates by users on the forum. (There's about a 15-20 min delay in updating the chart. Those who received their decisions please update your application status)

Congratulations to everyone who got the invites.

Anyone who's done TBD before can shed some light? I wonder if they are only selecting one out of 5 or 6 from each group or half..(given their interview-to-offer rate is ~50%). Are we going to play role right away or should we introduce ourselves first during the first minute...gosh so many questions :/

Reapplicant here. Got the invite yesterday AM :)

I did the R2 TBD last year and shared some of my thoughts below. Keep in mind this is all based on my perceptions and hearsay

Any re-applicants on here? I did the TBD last year after applying R2, but sadly wasn't offered a spot in the Class of 2017. I pulled together what I think is a much more solid application for R1 this year. Happy to offer advice when TBDs come around--fingers crossed I make it that far!

Did you prepare for the TBD on your own or did you happen to enrol yourself with one of the admission consulting companies? Any particular resources/tips for the TBD?

I self-prepared last year and practiced with some current students. The general advice is to try to stay calm and just pretend you're in a regular work meeting. Be mindful of time limits and avoid the extremes of either a) dominating the discussion, or b) not participating. Many current students I talked to said their entire TBD group (or close to it) got in, so don't think of the folks in your group as competition, approach the situation like you're working together to collectively get in. The time goes by really fast, so the biggest thing is moving the group forward and finishing on time. That means there's no time for disagreement, try to compromise quickly and propose alternative solutions if you disagree with someone's idea. Similarly, the 10-minute one-on-one interview that follows goes by extremely fast, so its better to keep it short and specific. Remember these are all conducted by 2nd year students, so they're just human beings--try to put yourself in their shoes and think about what you would look for. It's really a great opportunity to interact with current students and your potential peers for a glimpse of what the classroom experience might be like. So really, you want to authentically fit in.

My own two cents is that the TBD really isn't a make-or-break. I stayed in touch with some folks from my group and we had an email chain going when decisions went out. One that got accepted made a couple blatant no-nos during the discussion and the other was a model interviewee. I'm pretty self-critical and don't think I did anything wrong, I think I got dinged because my application overall lacked specificity (in my essays and recs) and needed to more explicitly demonstrate fit.

Honestly, I think the whole TBD experience was what moved Wharton from my #4 choice to my #1. It's truly a great opportunity to gage how well you're going to enjoy the next 2 years.

Are all the interview prompts the same? Or are they varied according to which TBD slot you signed up for?
