I don’t know if being released from the process is better or not? At least I could take a break to cry in a beautiful city and come back stronger (hopefully) for R1. I am also prepping for GRE retake and not hearing back from SOM is making it worse.

Guys, can anybody share insights on what exactly has to be done with the pre-interview task for Yale. I got this in the email. The second task is clear but the first one?? There are two things we ask you to do in advance of the conversation. First, please consider this quote from Dean Kerwin Charles, "Preeminent universities disseminate and produce new knowledge, and some of the best ideas are ripe for revising. However, this demands different perspectives, genders, backgrounds, races, orientations, and points of view." Second, we ask that you submit a quote that has special meaning or resonates with you.

I did not see any new invites released today. I believe SOM’s part of the strategy is to frustrate applicants with rolling invites, so some people choose other school on their own.
