I didn't do "why yale" in any of my essays; I figured if they wanted to know then they would have asked -- i just answered the questions that were directly asked. Not sure if that is an advisable strategy, but it worked for me. I did emphasize "why yale" during my interview though.

I didn't get any of those questions. Mine were -

What's a quality you admire most in others and why?
It has been said that universities have a responsibility to prepare students for the business world. Do you agree or disagree and why?
What do you feel is the biggest obstacle facing leaders today?

EDIT 1: I actually included a "practice" question and forgot that my third question was the one I now have listed above.

EDIT 2: Noticed that my editing history is reported and wanted to explain why I did so.
