For all those concerned about the status not changing, I received an interview invite email couple of weeks back but the status has still not been updated. I wrote to the AdCom asking whether it was a point of concern. It doesn't seem to be anything to worry about. :)

AdCom's response:

"First, congratulations! We look forward to talking with you further at the interview. That said, thanks for flagging this. We’ll look into it to determine what’s happening on your status page. Meanwhile, you are absolutely invited for an interview. Please let us know if we can help with scheduling. Otherwise, see you soon!"

Has any re-applicant got interview invite?
I was interviewed--waitlisted--dinged for R2 of 2015 intake. No news so far..

Is there a particular pattern for re-applicants?

Re-applicant here (Interviewed--dinged R2 2016 intake). No news so far.
From what I've read/been told, re-applicants (who've been interviewed before) might not be interviewed again. Not sure if this is true in all cases though. We'll just need to wait to find out I guess.

What do you guys think about the quote that's to be submitted 48 hours before the interview? I'm pretty confused :)

I picked something that was meaningful to me. I think it will be a great ice-breaker.

Game over for US based applicants who haven't received an invite yet? My gut also says 28 out of 170 applicants is a little too few to write things off. Oh well, I'm just ranting now :/

Nope. I've seen invites in past cycles go out through early December. Realistically I'd give it through Thanksgiving though.

Hi All!

I just completed my off-campus interview in Mumbai earlier today.

The interview was conducted by Melissa Fogerty, the Director of Admissions. I was pleasantly surprised and frankly quite nervous when I knew she'd be the one I was going to be interacting with, but all that nervousness seemed to melt away as the interview went on.

She was extremely polite, and seemed to take genuine interest in what I was talking about. The questions presented were in line with what you'd expect, so there's absolutely no need to panic. There were definitely a couple of thought provoking ones too, but nothing to worry about.

Lasted for exactly 30 minutes as expected, and was overall a very positive experience. I felt that the interviewer did brilliantly in terms of making you want to be a part of the Yale community even more. Didn't feel forced or "transactional" even for a second. I even got to ask a couple of questions at the end, which was great.

Irrespective of the outcome, I'm really glad I got this chance to go face-to-face and have a conversation with the Director of Admissions at Yale SOM! Seems surreal.

All the best to everyone here who's yet to interview, including the ones who are yet to receive the invite. Hang in there, I sure hope things will work out :)

Fingers crossed! December can't come soon enough!!

I personally met 5 people who interviewed today, but I'm sure there are a lot more. There were two interviewers, so each 30 minute slot had two interviewees as well.
