Hi All!
I just completed my off-campus interview in Mumbai earlier today.
The interview was conducted by Melissa Fogerty, the Director of Admissions. I was pleasantly surprised and frankly quite nervous when I knew she'd be the one I was going to be interacting with, but all that nervousness seemed to melt away as the interview went on.
She was extremely polite, and seemed to take genuine interest in what I was talking about. The questions presented were in line with what you'd expect, so there's absolutely no need to panic. There were definitely a couple of thought provoking ones too, but nothing to worry about.
Lasted for exactly 30 minutes as expected, and was overall a very positive experience. I felt that the interviewer did brilliantly in terms of making you want to be a part of the Yale community even more. Didn't feel forced or "transactional" even for a second. I even got to ask a couple of questions at the end, which was great.
Irrespective of the outcome, I'm really glad I got this chance to go face-to-face and have a conversation with the Director of Admissions at Yale SOM! Seems surreal.
All the best to everyone here who's yet to interview, including the ones who are yet to receive the invite. Hang in there, I sure hope things will work out
Fingers crossed! December can't come soon enough!!
