I saw in an earlier post you submitted in Oct. Wasn't the deadline for the early round sept 28? Your app might have been pushed to the next round

The application was submitted on 28th September only. My recommender had filled his form on 6th October.

I'm not sure of my classification. I'm American, but I live abroad. So, I'm not an international student, but I might be sorted with them when planning the logistics of interviews.
I received my interview invite a few days after the deadline, the first week of Oct, and interviewed the next week.
