Hey everyone, if you're looking for guidance on what the McCombs MBA experience is like, or how MBA students at chose McCombs, I did a few interviews with some current students to find out. Sharing in case it's helpful.
Private,
GMAT: 700, Q49, V35; GPA: 4; WE: 72 months; United States, CA; via Phone I was waitlisted after an interview. I bungled a question "Why do you rank McCombs among schools you applied?" I answered I rank it equally with Haas and Duke, and the interview definitely sensed that it was BS. I was surprised I didn't get a rejection. [#permalink]
I applied in R3 and haven't received an interview invite or any communication regarding that matter. The decision date is 7th May if I am not wrong. Should I drop them a mail or they usually send the invites toward the end ?

I did the drop them an email. Got a reply from a guy named Mathew, telling me if you haven't received any email about items missing from your application then everything is in order.
Would you mind telling us when you applied/interviewed? Did they mention if everyone will have a decision today, prior to the announced release of Tuesday?

I applied early April, interviewed May 1st. No info on whether all decisions were made today, but I was told emails would be sent out tomorrow. I don't know if that means "all" email decisions though.

Awesome, thanks for the help. Good to know some people from Round 4 might find out tomorrow - and wont have to wait through the long weekend for their decision on Tuesday
Congrats! Would you mind providing your application timeline? Did they say anything about timing for others on waitlist/if they are making more calls today?

Yes, I sent an updated version of my resume and a letter of interest. There was nothing new on my resume, I just found a better way to depict my professional experience.

I applied in R2 and got waitlisted March 26th. I sent an updated version of my resume and a letter of interest May 18th and got admitted today. They told me there were more acceptance calls going out and that the portal was going to be updated today at noon.
I am hosting a free webinar next weekend for incoming first-year MBA students on how to prepare for your MBA Experience. I’ll share some best practices from my research and I have 3 current MBA students who will share from their own experience and expertise. If you’re around please join!
