The decision deadline for R1 is 15th December. The F2F interviews for Indian students are scheduled in Mumbai on 8th December. I think the AdCom must have already made the decisions and the interview might just be a sanity check.

Thoughts on this?

Yes could be true. Simon has given quick decisions in virtual interview cases also for some candidates. But you have valid point as they have only 1 week to decide.

Does that mean those who have interview now onwards (even on 1st ) don't stand a chance to get an admit ?

Not at all. Why even are we discussing these things? Prepare best and we all have an equal chance of getting an admit.

When did you apply? 1st round interview decisions are already out. Simon admission team is coming to India and they will be interviewing students face to face. They are also organizing events in Bangalore, Mumbai for prospective students in which they will discuss about the MBA program. Then there will be a sample class by one of the deans.

These are the information I got from admissions. Hope this helps.

I have my in-person interview on Wednesday at 1 pm.

People in Mumbai/Bangalore interviewing after me,
I am happy to connect on LinkedIn/Mail/Whatsapp if you need any sort of information about the interview/event.

All the best mate! Post your debrief after the interview. I'll be interviewing on the next day in Bangalore.

Completely random question but just wanted to confirm - The essay needs to have cumulative 250-500 words or each prompts needs to have 250-500 words each?

Thanks in advance!
