I'm waitlisted too. Is this legit or are they doing this to everyone? cus I applied for R2 and wasn't interviewed. Not sure why would they do this :|

Dinged. without interview. Applied early round 2.
Personal experience with this particular school has been extremely poor as compared to all other programs I applied to.(It seems they tend to overextend their admission teams due to the free application carrot.) Congratulations to everyone who got the admits. Would also recommend people on the wait list to at-least secure some backups.

It is just a better way of saying no. They have waitlisted too many people and their batch size is also small.
