I plan to pursue marketing post MBA. Do international students have disadvantage if they opt for marketing instead of finance and consultancy? And for me it’s a career transition from finance to marketing. Need some insight please.

A few thoughts: a) Your "Why transitioning from Finance to Marketing" will have to be solid. Just an MBA couldn’t be enough reason. b) Why would a firm take you in their Marketing function? For the employer also, just an MBA wouldn’t be enough. Therefore, your answers to "why MBA, what post-MBA" will have to be plausible and believable for the adcom. Once you are in, you could do anything different, it won’t matter as it is your career.

I heard from a few of them that last year they accepted guys who opted for a waiver. But however no scholarships were offered to them. Any news anyone got about it?

How much time does UNC take to review and send the interview invitations?

May I know the invitations if they are date based or rolling type?
