can somebody tell me which practice tests are closer to real gmat exam

GMATPREP is the closest you will get to real Gmat experience for a very simple reason
1. Same algorithm as the real test.
2. Retired questions from real exams
3. Complete with AWA and IR

Other test product I have used are as follows:
1. Manhattan GMAT: too difficult quant wise, very laborious problems. Simple SC verbal.
2. Veritas: Too Simple Quant, verbal is similar to GmatPrp
3. GMATClub Tests: highly recommended for quant: Helps you drill the concepts and various approaches for solving difficult questions
4. ExpertsGlobal: set of 15 tests, with the feel of GMATPREP. Get extensive analysis of your weak areas. Predicted my 680 score one week before exams. However, not many people have used it.
5. 800score: not as reliable as others

Thank you

Pretty much most of the things are covered.

For verbal, I found e-gmat questions pretty close to the GMAT official questions. Though nothing beats the official questions.

The thing with verbal option on actual official GMAT is that you will be able to eliminate 3 out of 5 options. The two options that will be left will be strikingly similar and it goes into a grey zone as far as right or wrong is concerned with these two options. This feature is present in only the official questions. Others comes close to it but not that consistently, but still e-gmat verbal tests are pretty solid and their analytics is top notch for sub topics analysis and improvement.

Thank you everyone. I am not expecting 700 plus score and i don't want to practice too tough questions and waste time.
In this case , does egmat questions and gmat club test are useful for me?

If you ask for Closer Real GMAT Exam then you should go for GMAT Prep.
This is the best because it is from the same organizers of GMAT.

Hi mangamma,

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize. Since that algorithm is proprietary, no GMAT company has an exact match for it, thus CAT scores can vary a bit based on the 'biases' involved in their respective designs. The most realistic CATs available are the 6 from GMAC, but the CATs from Kaplan, MGMAT and Veritas are all 'close enough' to the real thing that they will provide you with a relatively realistic score assessment (assuming that you use the CAT correctly).

Before I can offer you any additional advice, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

As noted by others, GMATPrep tests are the best.

For supplemental purposes, GMAT Pill offers a free full-length practice test with timing and performance analytics at the end:

Practice CAT test: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... ctice-test

Students generally report scores within +-30 points of what they get on the real test.

The test itself is free but a paid membership is required to access all the video explanations and core framework course.

Hi mangamma,

Since the official practice exams are created by GMAC (the makers of the GMAT) and contain old retired questions, those exams are likely to use the most accurate scoring algorithm and provide the most accurate exam experience. Have you taken a practice exam to get a baseline score? When is your actual GMAT?

Feel free to reach out with further questions.

Good luck!

Hi mangamma,

Assuming that you took this CAT in a realistic fashion, a 550 is a solid initial CAT score (the average score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). From your prior posts, it's not clear what your Goal Score is though - so planning to take the GMAT at the end of January (which is just 4 weeks away) might not be a good idea. As such, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) What were the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for this first CAT?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) Do you have an Official Test Date scheduled yet (and if so, then what is it?)?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi mangamma,

Raising a 550 to the point that you could consistently score 680+ will likely require at least another 2-3 months of consistent, guided study - and while you will clearly have to make significant improvements to how you handle the Verbal section, you should also continue to hone your Quant skills. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. That having been said, you might need to consider pushing back your Test Date.

1) When you say that you want to apply to Business School this year, do you mean in the next couple of months or do you mean later on (in September or later)?
2) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
