Here's my deal, practicing attorney who kind of got screwed over a little bit with the contraction in the market. Have a few years WE and want to go back to school for an MBA in finance. Scoring 680-710 on practice GMATs but would rather get $$ from a school unless somehow I get into a top 20.
What kind of scholarships would schools ranked 50-70 or so offer with a GMAT in this range?
And with a solid 2-3 years of WE (albeit a tad more sporadic than I like), what schools near the top 20 are possible?
Hi
- Substantial scholarships 50-70% and even a full ride may be possible with schools in the 50-70 range
- Closer to the top 20, Emory, Kelley, UNC, Georgetown, and Olin remain options, though all are not strictly top 20. If you can push up your final score to 700+, you should have a realistic chance at these with a strong app
- That said, if there are substantial gaps in your work experience (a few weeks are fine but if these extend to months that could be in an issue), these will need to be addressed clearly.
Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.
