2 wow schools.

Given your uncertain goals, I think that MIT will be suitable for you. You will invest in the future of your family :- You need to do some arrangement with your wife though.

So you want us to come up with 5 compelling reasons to tell your fiancé why you are going to have fun in Boston for 2 years? :-)

Sloan:
1. Internationally MIT is a stronger name, much stronger.
2. Sloan seems to have a tight alum network
3. Your goals seem to align nicely

CBS:
1. The school to go to in NYC. If you are going to stay there then may as well.
2. It will be cheaper
3. Yes Dear.

PS. You will need to choose the program together. Lots of situations and examples of couples deciding and it is much much better if you can work it out upfront.

Thanks! I kind of needed more reasons.

I feel like Sloan is overall a better school but NYC location is just too enticing...

Me neither...I agree, Sloan is better school, but NYC is just too enticing. I think it will be Sloan for me.

I'd choose Sloan. Better aligned with your goals IMO- plus NYC to Boston commute is pretty easy.

On paper, I would go with Sloan, if you were a single person this is the obvious choice based on your description. Now as stated above this is truly a joint decision, so you really need to factor in your fiance's perspective as well as what makes the sense your future lives together

Just made up my mind and choosing Sloan. I must've spoken with at least 10 current students + alumni from each school, and more I speak with them, I feel that the student caliber in general at Sloan is stronger with a much more engaging community.

Congrats on your decision. Ultimately you are choosing the people who will be part of your current and future network so it is always best to base your decision on the people you feel most comfortable around and are most impressed by. That was largely how i made made my decision when I matriculated.
