Answer is 5. The question asks for median, not mean.

Answer is C. = 2 degrees

1) Order the numbers as you would in a timeline, least to greatest
2) Choose the number in the middle which is your median

-5, -2, -1, 5, 10, 15

since you have an even amount of numbers you are going to have 2 middle numbers: -1 and 5. This is where you take their average. -1 + 5 = 4/2 = 2

2 is your median.

ordered temperatures are

-5 -2 -1 5 10 15

median of a ordered set with even number of elements = sum of middle two terms/2 = (-1+5)/2 = 2
