Darden EMBA class size is 130-ish. Georgetown flex is 275.
wow. Those are big class sizes for an EMBA! Perhaps that's for 2-3 years however long the program ends up taking people to complete.
You did not really answer my question about the recruiting
Is McDonough Flex a PT program? Not an EMBA? Keep in mind it is hard to compare programs that are not in the same league/category. Kind of like comparing a sports car vs. a truck - they are both cars but serve diff purposes.
I would say PT is a good option if you are under 33 or under 30. You will have many younger professionals who are local which is nice and you can network with them. Once you get older, it is not a good fit/match.
For EMBA, since you are not really having many recruiting options, and looking at your path/goal, need to decide on EMBA vs. PT MBA and the rest is sort of easy
I feel you would not be in a disadvantage (perhaps even the opposite) joining Georgetown. It has a stronger UG name and better known globally. If you are in the DC area, you are probably having many Georgetown folks and that community is everywhere. Keep in mind though that you reaching out to a Georgetown undergrad from 30 years ago is not going to be the strongest link in the world. Rather your connection with your classmates and your connection with other PT grads is what will come into play for networking and recruiting. Seeing 275 across even multiple years will give you a pretty big base to network with.
At the same time, if you are over 35, and don't want to be around 27 year olds starting out their career, EMBA may be a better fit... it is tricky. Many things go into it
