Hello all,

I know this question is asked each year, but each year schools get more data on the IR section. What was true last year may not be true this year.

I took the online GMAT and scored a 760 (49 Quant / 45 Verbal). However, I scored a 5 on IR (52nd percentile).

I’m only targeting Harvard/Stanford, so is the 5 something I should worry about? I know it’s not a bad score, but I’m a white male with a finance background (meaning there will be a ton of candidates just like me who I will be competing against).

Blogs have conflicting views on IR so wanted to get some other opinions.

Congrats on your great score. Yes, Top schools will look into IR and AWA score also. So, mentioned your low IR score in your additional essay in the application. All the best for your application.
