Let the length of train=L
and the velocity of train=v
Statement 1-
\(\frac{L}{v}=8\)
We have 2 unknowns and 1 equation
\(Insufficient\)
Statement 2-
\(\frac{L+150}{v}=12\)
Again, We have 2 unknowns and 1 equation
\(Insufficient\)
Combining both statements
L/v+150/v=12
From statement 1 L/v=8
8+150/v=12
v=150/4 m/s
Sufficient
and the velocity of train=v
Statement 1-

Thanks for the question, just a small correction required here. Instead of " Train of the speed" we should have " Speed of the train ".
Hope you will look into this. Thanks.
