I am choosing between these two schools at this point. I am still WL at Ross, so getting in there, even at sticker price would change my decision. I have been fortunate to get full tuition scholarships at both of these schools. I want go into IB (BB or MB and location doesn't matter to me as long as I can break into the field).
Emory Pros
- Atlanta location giving me access to tons of companies
-Higher starting salary
-Spoke to alum who said in his class out of the 18 students that wanted IB got it (ATL, charlotte, NYC, San Fran)
- Speaking with admissions and dean, they seem to be invested into their program and want it to climb even higher. Spoke about wanting the school to rise even more in the US News ranking and were very happy to share that they jumped 5 spots this year.
Vanderbilt Pros
- Nashville is smaller than ATL so it would be an easier transition coming from a college town
-I love Sports so being able to attend Vandy football games and Titans games would be fun
- Easier to get around Nashville. ATL traffic is horrendous and students have mentioned having a car is important at Emory
-MSF program does well with IB and MBA trying to get involved
Vandy name seems to be more recognized
I love both schools and am beyond happy that I have full rides at both. Short-term I know I'll have to work hard at both schools to land IB but it definitely is possible. I'm thinking of long-term how I would benefit from either school.
Any opinions are welcomed!
