Congratulations on your admits. You will be recruiting off-campus by your own wits by trolling the alarms and hitting up recruiters at either of these programs. Perhaps the best judge of this could be how many alarms you can find from Owen or Goizueta in IB. I have not done this research so I can’t point it out.

I agree with you that Nashville would probably be a better experience from the standpoint of being in a more fun and less congested city with less crime too.

Both programs are fairly regional. This of course has been sort of getting challenged in terms of the importance of the location with a lot of people moving around during Covid.

It’s pretty hard for me to identify a clear winner in this decision since all of the recruiting will be off campus. I don’t think there is a mistake or a winner per say. I like the factual feedback from Emory about a number of people getting into investment banking. That means you have people to bug, you have contacts, and you have some reputation which is very helpful. So I would Lechantre that is kind of a leading factor perhaps?

I just saw an article in Wall Street Journal indicating that Nashville, Austin and Raleigh are the three hottest job markets in the US right now. Not specifically for business school graduates or consultants but in general. Not sure how much that would influence my decision since I’m not sure how much need for FedEx drivers and nurses and other professionals with impact me but these tend to have compounding affects.

Good luck choosing :-)
