Family traditions of colonial Americans were much more focused on community than today.

(A) today (Family traditions are wrongly compared)

(B) now (Same as A)

(C) us (Same as A)

(D) individuals (Family traditions are wrongly compared with individuals)

(E) today's traditions are (Correct comparison of family traditions with today's traditions)

Use of "much more" is absurd.
What if I re-write in this way...Family Family traditions of colonial Americans were more focused on community than individuals.

In my opinion, what's being compared in the sentence is:
Family's tradition before AND family's traditions today.

The focus back then on community was more than it is today.

If the option D were 'on individuals', would that be correct? To me it seems like it would. Can someone please confirm?
