First of all, thank you so much gmatclub.
Long story short, as a new year resolution, I decided to apply for a part-time MBA before the spring deadline.
I took CAT1 on 01/12/2019 to see where my starting point, I got 640 (Q48, V30, IR5). Here my preparation journey began:
Week 1: I googled gmat resource, and found gmatclub, what a great resource. I registered on 01/10/2019, and checked all the free resources during my registration, including:
3-days unlimited EMPOWERgmat access, 7 days examPAL and 30 days Math Revolution. I tried them during the free period, yet did not find a strong desire to subscribe. I think the mock test and diagnostic test from Math Revolution are helpful.
Week 2: Worked on
gmatclub: the-official-guide-for-gmat-review-268443 (as a new member, I cannot post urls, oops)
and took CAT2 on 01/24/2019, got 710 (Q50 V35 IR7). Frankly, this score was good enough for me, and I started to focus more on verbal.
Week3: Worked on
gmatwithcj: solutions-to-gmat-official-guide-2019-sentence-correction-questions and
gmatclub: free tests Took Manhattanprep 1 on 01/26/19, got 670 (Q46 V35 IR4.5), bummer....Well, it makes sense, since all people said Manhattanprep was harder than official test.
I
like Manhattanprep test because it has answers and explanations. But with just so much time left, I purchased CAT3 and 4, instead (the only paid material for my journey).
For those with more prep time, I highly recommend Manhattanprep.
Week4: Worked on
gmat: gmat of the day,
Took CAT3 on 02/01/2019, got 690 (Q50 V33 IR4)
Took CAT4 on 02/07/2019, got 730 (Q49 V40 IR7)....I was very satisfied with the score, thought I could score 700+ the next day
Test day 02/08/2019, unfortunately, I was a little nervous and missed the 700 target by 10, (Q51 V31 IR7). Q and IR are my best scores among all the test I took, however, verbal is among my worst. So for me, a month is not enough to improve verbal!
I am not really happy with the score, but I am working full time and only planning to do part-time MBA, I will leave it as it is.
