Hey guys, I just got my interview notification - Not Invited. It also indicated that it is not a final decision, and that I could potentially still receive an interview at a later date.

Would love to hear if this has happened to anyone else or how this has worked in the past. Any insight would be appreciated! Or for those of us in this same boat to keep each other posted!

Good luck to all.

FYI -- I had an extremely low GRE (yeah, not GMAT) score and found typos in my essay after submitting. We're all human...

Not invited as well. Good luck to everyone that is invited. Anyone knows if this could be an indication of the strength of my application in the other schools I applied to?

If you submitted similar applications, probably. You definitely have a shot for Anderson, but I think you'd have a tough time getting into Kellogg/Wharton if you didn't get an interview invite from Duke...unless you had a red flag in your Duke application that wasn't present in your others. What was your gmat/gpa/work experience?

I can't think of anything that could be a red flag. I got a 680 gmat (high quant/low ver), 3.3 GPA, and 3 years WE in investments and then trading. Very surprised with GMAT since I hit 700+ in practice, but thought focusing on essays, recommendation, and lots of EC would help.

Not invited. A little surprised because my application numbers and essays seemed really strong. A little worried because I am a reapplicant to another school so I really only have 4 schools left that I have much of a chance at. Would hate to have missed another year.

I think the proliferation of consultants has mislead people a bit, and in most cases GPA (weighted by caliber of undergrad institution)/GMAT/Work experience (@ name brand companies are still king. Not to say essays, recs, EC's aren't important at all, but they seem to rarely make or break an application.

Unless your GPA or work experience has a huge red flag, I think you'll get into UCLA and USC with 760 GMAT. Based on GMATclub data, really the only people they rejected with GMATs that high were India-based international applications (which is always a really tough demographic to get in from).

760 and 3.92 GPA also not invited. 3 years WE in consulting. So I doubt your numbers are the issue.

I have a 1.25 year employment gap and am currently unemployed. However, this gap was by choice and allowed me the opportunity to pursue an activity that is the sole reason for me applying to MBA programs and my future career goals. Without the gap, I would not be interested in pursuing an MBA.
