Hi everyone,
I took my gmat today and scored a quite disappointing 670 (Q49, V 31) in my first attempt.
Indian male with 3 years of experience in IT consulting.
I was planning to apply for ISB PGP, INSEAD EBA, NUS and NTU Singapore.
For ISB R1 , deadline is 15th of next month, and I have to draft my essays as well.
It would be most difficult to get into these colleges with such a low score.
I took two weeks off prior to the test and will have to join the office from Monday
So I will have to do the prep and essay writing/profile creation simultaneously, if I decide to retake.
I am not sure in the coming month will I be able to strike a balance between the profile creation evaluation and the gmat second attempt preparation.
Need suggestions.
PS: I am planning to apply Asian colleges only, no US colleges will do for me.

Hi onkargm,
First off, a 670/Q49 is a strong score (it's above the 80th percentile overall), so it could be enough to get you into some of the Schools that you listed. As such, a retest might not be necessary. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:

You referred to this score as 'disappointing', but you didn't describe your studies in any detail, so there's no frame of reference.
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) What is your goal score?

I have been preparing for gmat for last 2 and a half months.
I referred to MGMAT for verbal, quant and IR.
AWA was an easy part as per my opnion, so I did it by myself.
My gmatprep results are as follows.
MGMAT : 630.
GMATPrep1: 640 Q50 V28 Two week before the test.
GMATPrep2: 690 Q48 V35 One week before the test.
After my second GmatPrep test, I freaked out and started focusing on quant more, here I think I have made a mistake, I should have focused on verbal. My low quant score was a result of some silly mistakes I made in DS.
My perception was, if I successfully avoid some mistakes in both verbal and quant,in actual test, I will be able to reach the golden number of 700 in actual test.
That's why I said my score was disappointing.
In verbal section of actual test, I couldn't solve each question in 2 minutes, some question of CR and SC took too long, RC was a total mess, I guessed almost all of the RC questions.
Considering the time constraint I have, will it be a good idea to change strategies for verbal for retake?
