Hi onkargm,

GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Assuming a similar 'swing' in how your CATs function, your recent score results show a general ability right around 670 (+/- a few points) - so your Official Score makes a certain amount of sense. You could have potentially scored 700 on Test Day (although you also could have potentially scored 640). This is meant to say that you're remarkably close to a 700+ score right now. However, since you've never hit that score level, there's some question as to whether "your way" of studying will get you to that level or not. If you do choose to retest, you could conceivably build up your Verbal skills relatively quickly and retest in under a month, but you're going to have to make some changes to how you 'see' that section of the Test as well as the Tactics that you use.

Have you consulted with any Admissions Experts yet? Have they offered any advice about your overall profile and whether you should retake the GMAT or not?
