I have given GMAT in Feb 2019 wherein I scored a 680 ( Q49,V33,IR6 ). I didnt work that hard for the exam and hence was pretty surprised by such a score with such little dedication . Later I realised that I need to cross atleast 700+ to get a seat in top US B-schools . Thankfully , I got sufficient time in my job to again prepare for the GMAT . I prepared for 2 months and gave GMAT on Valentines ( I'm single
) .
I used
Magoosh to prepare. I must tell at this moment that
Magoosh's Quant is pretty decent but it and cant help you break the 50 threshold in Quant. In Verbal , CR & RC were quite good and sufficient but SC was lacking in a lot of areas.
My appointment was booked for 2 PM. I Reached half an hour earlier and started memorising the cliche templates for AWA which i had specially kept for the last moment.
I started the Exam with Quant and I must admit that it was looking like a
MGMAT test . I remember that I kept on thinking in between the exam that I shouldnt have done this and should have better concentrated on my Job. Somehow managed to complete the section within time thanks to some random guesses in between.
Break: Ate 2 chocolate bars and a small milkshake pack. Went to washroom and rinsed my face thoroughly .
The Verbal was super easy and i literally cruised through the section . I was doing CR & RC quickly and keeping more time to tackle SC since that was my weakest section.
Break: Drank some water and relaxed , knowing that the worst was over xD
IR: Way to easy than the one given in GmatPrep tests ( Scored 6 in each of them ) .
After completing the test , I saw the 710 score which shocked me . More importantly , I was shocked seeing the 49 in Q while I was expecting no more than 45 this time . Thanks !
