Hi Prabeer,
Think about WHY MBA programs look at your GMAT scores?
Firstly, you have to understand that this is NOT a test of your intelligence or smarts. It is a test of skills. So treat it just the same. The more you practice, the better you will get. If you don't believe me then just watch this video where I explain one of the biggest secrets of the GMAT:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlLmhugF9RsSecondly, as a business manager, you are required to work very closely with data. Be it a pie-chart for a presentation (Geometry), or whether we can decide based on available data (DS), or just quickly give a back of the envelope calculation on valuation (Arithmetic).
For all of this, what is needed is a strong sense of numbers. That is what accounting teaches you. That is what you need if you were to analyse the impact of GST on a company. That is what you need to tally a balance-sheet. So this should be nothing new for you.
However, many commerce students face this "mental block" that does not let them score high. I have had a CA who scored Q50 once and for him the biggest challenge was to start loving quant again. So don't let this fear of numbers stop you. Maybe you can start by solving my Shakuntala Devi books. Just to get the engine warmed up
Also, once you are able to overcome this fear of "Math", you will be able to do well in the BSchool as well. So take it as a personal challenge.
