1. Decision time: Monday at 3:00 PM
2. Campaign launch: 5:00 PM on some day after Monday 3. Questionnaire: 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch
Let me calculate the possible hours between the decision and launch:
If launch is Tuesday 5:00 PM: 24 + 2 = 26 hours after decision
If launch is Wednesday 5:00 PM: 48 + 2 = 50 hours after decision
If launch is Thursday 5:00 PM: 72 + 2 = 74 hours after decision
If launch is Friday 5:00 PM: 96 + 2 = 98 hours after decision
If launch is Saturday 5:00 PM: 120 + 2 = 122 hours after decision
Now, for each possible launch time, let me calculate when the questionnaire could be sent:
If launch is Tuesday 5:00 PM (26 hours after decision):
- Questionnaire on Wednesday 9:00 AM: 26 + 16 = 42 hours after decision
- Questionnaire on Thursday 9:00 AM: 26 + 40 = 66 hours after decision
If launch is Wednesday 5:00 PM (50 hours after decision):
- Questionnaire on Thursday 9:00 AM: 50 + 16 = 66 hours after decision
- Questionnaire on Friday 9:00 AM: 50 + 40 = 90 hours after decision
If launch is Thursday 5:00 PM (74 hours after decision):
Questionnaire on Friday 9:00 AM: 74 + 16 = 90 hours after decision
- Questionnaire on Saturday 9:00 AM: 74 + 40 = 114 hours after decision
If launch is Friday 5:00 PM (98 hours after decision):
- Questionnaire on Saturday 9:00 AM: 98 + 16 = 114 hours after decision
- Questionnaire on Sunday 9:00 AM: 98 + 40 = 138 hours after decision
Looking at the options in the table the pair 98 and 138 works
- Launch: 98 hours after decision (Friday at 5:00 PM)
- Questionnaire: 138 hours after decision (Sunday at 9:00 AM)
Therefore, the correct selections are:
Launch: 98
Questionnaire: 138

Approved (A) = 3 PM Monday
Campaign Launch (CL) = 5 PM on some other day
Customer questionnaire (CQ) = 9 AM some other day after CL
Difference between A and CL= 2hrs + 24 x (x>0)
Try different values of x=1,2,3,4.....
CL= 2+24(2)=50; or 2+24(2)=50; 2+24(3)=74; 2+24(4)=98.......available in options

Difference between A and CQ = 18+24 y (y>=x)
Y can be 4,5,6.......
CQ= 18+24(4)=114; or 18+24(5)=138.......available in options

CL= 98 and CQ= 138

Decision time = 3:00 PM on Monday
Campaign launch = 5:00 PM on some day after Monday
Questionnaire = 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch

Launch time = 2hrs (3-5 PM time diff.) + 24k (k is some integer/no. of days)
this only gives 2 values --> 98 and 146

We rule out 146 as then the minimum questionnaire time is 162 hrs which exceeds the given options.
So, Launch time - 98 hrs
Questionnaire time = 98 + 16 + 24k --> only possible option = 138 hrs

At exactly 3:00 PM on a Monday, the marketing team finalized and approved the launch plan for a new campaign and the following evaluation process. The campaign would be launched at 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday, and the customer questionnaire would be sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch.

In the table, select for Launch the number of hours between the 3:00 PM decision on Monday and the 5:00 PM campaign launch, and select for Questionnaire the number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent that would be jointly consistent with the given information. Make only two selections, one in each column.
From 3pm to 5 pm following day is 26hrs to 9am the following day is 42 hrs has questionnaire is 42 hrs , hence repeating the process we get 84 hrs as consistent for launch

So first need to figure out the campaign launch.
So after 1 day after 3:00 PM on a Monday will be 3 pm on a Tuesday and time passed will be 24 hours. + 2 for 5pm.So total hours is 26[not in option]
3pm on Wednesday will be 48 hours. +2 for 5 pm .So total hours is 50[not in option]
3pm on Thursday will be 72 hours. +2 for 5pm.So total hours is 74[not in option]
3pm on Friday will be 96 hours +2 for 5pm.So total hours is 98[its in option]

So for launch the answer could be 98.
9 am the next day which is Saturday would be 16 hours added to 98 that brings a total of 114[not in option]
what about 9am the next day which is Sunday,add 24 hours to 114,which gives us 138 hours.[in option]

So for Questionnaire it could be 138

The answer for launch is 98 and questionnaire is 138

The number of hours between the 3:00 PM decision on Monday and the 5:00 PM campaign launch = 2 + 24k; k = number of days
The number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent = (12-3) + 9 + 24m = 18 + 24m; m = number of days

Multiple of 24 = {24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 144,....}

Possible values of the number of hours between the 3:00 PM decision on Monday and the 5:00 PM campaign launch from the given choices = {98, 146}
Possible values of the number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent = {42, 66, 138}

Since the customer questionnaire would be sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch.

the number of hours between the 3:00 PM decision on Monday and the 5:00 PM campaign launch from the given choices = 98
the number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent = 138

Given :
  • Decision: Monday 3:00 PM
  • Campaign launch: 5:00 PM on some day after Monday
  • Questionnaire: 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch
For Launch:
From Monday 3:00 PM to some later day at 5:00 PM:
  • Same day would be 2 hours (but must be after Monday)
  • Tuesday 5:00 PM: 24 + 2 = 26 hours
  • Wednesday 5:00 PM: 48 + 2 = 50 hours
  • Thursday 5:00 PM: 72 + 2 = 74 hours
  • Friday 5:00 PM: 96 + 2 = 98 hours
From the options: 42, 66, 98 could work for launch.

For Questionnaire:
From Monday 3:00 PM to some day at 9:00 AM (after the launch):

If launch is Tuesday 5:00 PM (26 hours), questionnaire could be:
  • Wednesday 9:00 AM: 26 + 16 = 42 hours after decision
  • Thursday 9:00 AM: 26 + 40 = 66 hours after decision
If launch is Friday 5:00 PM (98 hours), questionnaire could be:
  • Saturday 9:00 AM: 98 + 16 = 114 hours
  • Sunday 9:00 AM: 98 + 40 = 138 hours
  • Monday 9:00 AM: 98 + 64 = 162 hours
From the options available: 138 and 146 could work for questionnaire.

Checking consistency:
  • Launch at 98 hours (Friday 5:00 PM)
  • Questionnaire at 138 hours (Sunday 9:00 AM)
  • Time between launch and questionnaire: 138 - 98 = 40 hours
Launch: 98
Questionnaire: 138

For the launch which is +2 hours and then for each day add 24 hours from next day
--> 2, 26 , 50, 74, 98, 122, 146

Now questionnaire --> = 16 hours Min from launch ( time between 9am next day from 5pm = 16 hours) which makes it 98+16 = 114
and then add 24 for each day and --> 138 which matches the answer

Start counting from the decision point at Monday 3 PM. To get to a 5 PM launch on a later day, you need exactly 4 full days plus 2 extra hours (4 days × 24 h = 96 h, plus 2 h = 98 h), which lands you at Friday 5 PM. For the questionnaire at 9 AM, you count 5 full days plus 18 more hours (5 days × 24 h = 120 h, plus 18 h = 138 h), which brings to Sunday at 9 AM. So the only pair that matches a launch “some day after Monday” at 5 PM and a questionnaire “some day after launch” at 9 AM is 98 hours for Launch and 138 hours for Questionnaire.

Given That,
Decision made on 3:00 PM on Monday,

1. Launch will be at 5:00 PM on any day starting from Monday, hence time elapsed will be as follows -

Monday- 2
Tuesday- 26
Wednesday- 50
Thursday- 74
Friday- 98
Saturday - 122
Sunday- 146

2. Customer questionnaire would be sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch, which means at least starting from next day after launch, hence time elapsed will be as follows -

Tuesday-18
Wednesday-42
Thursday-66
Friday-90
Saturday114
Sunday-138
Monday -162

Only combination of 98 for first column and 138 for second column will work, as value for 2nd column needs to greater than column 1.

We begin at 3:00 PM on a Monday
and we can Launch => Any day after Monday at 5:00 PM
So lets say => if Tuesday till 3 pm it will 24hrs + 2 hrs more for 5pm = 26 hrs
if wednsday till 3pm it will be 24 *2 + 2hrs more for 5pm = 50
So formula will be => 24 * Days + 2 hours
Lets check options which will be divisible by 24 when subtracted by 2
Two option => 98 and 146. but 146 can't be ans as then we will not have choice for questionnaire

So ans => 98 for Launch

Now questionnaire => Any day after Launch at 9:00 AM
as we know 98 - 2 = 96 = 24 * 4 => anyday after day 4 at 9 am.
5pm to 5am => 12 hours + 4 hours for 9:am

So formula should be 12* days + 4 we need to check only 138 and 146
now out of 138, 98 hrs are done so remaining hours should fit in formula = 138 -98 = 40 which can be 12 *3 +4 So Possible

now for 146, 146 - 98 => 48 => 48-4 = 44 which cannot be divided by 12 so it cannot fit in formula so not possible

hence Ans launch= 98, questionnaire = 138

To find the consistent pair of hours:

Determine possible 'Launch' times from options:

The launch is at 5:00 PM on a day after Monday.

Calculate hours from Monday 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on subsequent days:

Tuesday 5:00 PM: 26 hours

Wednesday 5:00 PM: 50 hours

Thursday 5:00 PM: 74 hours

Friday 5:00 PM: 98 hours

Saturday 5:00 PM: 122 hours

Sunday 5:00 PM: 146 hours

Comparing these with the 'Launch' options, valid choices are 98 hours (Friday 5:00 PM) and 146 hours (Sunday 5:00 PM).

Test each valid 'Launch' time with 'Questionnaire' options:

The questionnaire is sent at 9:00 AM on a day after the campaign launch.

Scenario A: Launch at 98 hours (Friday 5:00 PM)

If questionnaire sent Saturday 9:00 AM: Hours from Monday 3 PM = 98 (launch) + 16 (from Fri 5PM to Sat 9AM) = 114 hours. (Not in options)

If questionnaire sent Sunday 9:00 AM: Hours from Monday 3 PM = 114 + 24 = 138 hours. (This is in options for Questionnaire).

Sunday 9:00 AM is indeed after Friday 5:00 PM. This is a consistent pair.

Scenario B: Launch at 146 hours (Sunday 5:00 PM)

If questionnaire sent Monday 9:00 AM (next Monday): Hours from Monday 3 PM = 146 (launch) + 16 (from Sun 5PM to Mon 9AM) = 162 hours. (Not in options)

Since only one pair is jointly consistent from the given options:

Launch: 98 hours
Questionnaire: 138 hours

Hence the campaign can be launched at

26 + 24 = 50

50 + 24 = 74

74 + 24 = 98

We do have an option of 98 hours

Questionnaires can be sent on

5:00 PM to 9:00 PM = 4
9:00 PM to 9:00 AM = 12

98 + 16 = 114

114 + 24 = 138 hours

We do have an option of 138 hours

Answer:

Launch = 98
Questionnaire = 138

Given:

Decision was made at 3:00 PM on Monday.
Campaign launch is at 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday.
Questionnaire is sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch.

Step 1: Possible Launch Times
We want the number of hours from Monday 3:00 PM to some 5:00 PM later in the week.
Let’s compute:

From Monday 3:00 PM to Tuesday 5:00 PM = 26 hours
From Monday 3:00 PM to Wednesday 5:00 PM = 50 hours
From Monday 3:00 PM to Thursday 5:00 PM = 74 hours
From Monday 3:00 PM to Friday 5:00 PM = 98 hours (Match Found)
Also, from Monday 3:00 PM to Sunday 5:00 PM = 146 hours (Match Found)

Step 2: Questionnaire after Launch
Now we need a time that's after the launch and occurs at 9:00 AM.

Let's try Launch = 98 hours (Friday 5:00 PM).
-> Next 9:00 AM after that = Saturday 9:00 AM
-> From Monday 3:00 PM to Saturday 9:00 AM =

4 full days = 96 hours
Plus 18 hours (from 3:00 PM Friday to 9:00 AM Saturday)
= 114 hours -> Not in choices

Try next 9:00 AM = Sunday 9:00 AM -> 138 hours
(From Monday 3:00 PM to Sunday 9:00 AM)
So:

Launch = 98 hours (Friday 5:00 PM)
Questionnaire = 138 hours (Sunday 9:00 AM)
