For 5 PM launch, the hours have to be in the form (24x hours + 2) since the team finalised at 3 PM on a Monday. The only possible answer with this form is (24x4 + 2) 98 hours.

9 AM is 18 hours from 3 PM. Therefore, the questionnaire timing should be either in 18 hours gap or 18 hours + 24x gap. 138 hours fits the 18 hours + 24 gap from 96th hour.

At exactly 3:00 PM on a Monday, the marketing team finalized and approved the launch plan for a new campaign and the following evaluation process. The campaign would be launched at 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday, and the customer questionnaire would be sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch.

In the table, select for Launch the number of hours between the 3:00 PM decision on Monday and the 5:00 PM campaign launch, and select for Questionnaire the number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent that would be jointly consistent with the given information. Make only two selections, one in each column.

The plan was finalised on Monday 3:00 PM
and the marketing campaign starts 5:00 PM on any day of the week after Monday.
So the equation for number of hours = 24hours *n + 2hours

Hence only one option satisfies this equation i.e. 98 ..... Answer

And for the second column we have equation as = 12 hours(because 5:00PM to 5:00 AM next day) *n + 4 hours
And since the value of n is greater than one so only options to consider are 138 and 146.
Out of these two 138 only satisfies the above equation. Hence the answer for 2nd column is 138.

Suppose Monday 3:00 Pm monday launch finalization

Lets launch be on tuesday at 5Pm
No of hours after finalization= 26 Hrs

Questionnare be on Wednesday 9:00am
No of hours after finalization= 42 hrs
So not possible as options not availabe
Launch =26+24x
Questionnare =42+24x
Let x=1, L=50, Q=66
X=2, L=74, Q=90
x=3, L=98, Q=114
x=4L=122, Q=138

So answer should be 98 hours for launch and 138 hrs for questionnare

Solution:

Information provided to us is that at 3:00 PM on Monday, the team finalized and approved the launch plan for a new campaign.

The campaign would be launched at 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday, and the customer questionnaire would be sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch.

Part 1: Launch the number of hours between the 3:00 PM decision on Monday and the 5:00 PM campaign launch.

If we consider one day, then it appears to us 3:00 PM on Monday to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, that is 24 hrs. Further, it is mentioned that the campaign would be launched at 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday. So, let's consider 24 * 4= 96hrs, and if we add 2hrs more to it, we will get 98hrs as our answer.

Part 2: Questionnaire the number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent, jointly consistent with the given information.

From the first part of the question, we get 98 hours from 3:00 PM on Monday to 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday (Launch the number of hours). Now we have to calculate the time between when the campaign would be launched at 5:00 PM on some day after that Monday, and the customer questionnaire would be sent at 9:00 AM on some day after the campaign launch. As we know, 5:00 PM to 5:00 PM is 24 hrs. If we add 24 hours to 98 hours, we will get 122 hours, and further add 16 hours to it, we will get 138 hours as the number of hours between the decision on Monday and the 9:00 AM time the questionnaire is sent.

So, Part 1: 98 hours, Part 2:138 hours.

This seems like a true TPA question where we need the 2 corresponding pairs.

Launch time will be 3PM - 5PM of other day. So the #hours in between is 24x + 2, Similarly the Questionnaire will be from 3PM to 9AM of someother day 18+24y

So the option that satisfy both the parts is 24x+2,24y+18.

This is 98 -> 24*4 + 2.
138 -> 24*5+18.

Hence IMO Launch 98, Questionnaire 138

We have the difference between the 3pm and 5pm on some day which would be in form of 2+24x. Now only option matches is 98 ie 24*4+2
For questionarre it would be 98+16 as it is am so 114+24=138.

From 3:00 PM Monday to 5:00 PM on a later day must be in the form of 24n+2 hours.

66 hours after 3:00 PM Monday is Thursday 5:00 PM, a valid campaign launch time.

The questionnaire must be sent at 9:00 AM on a day after the launch.

138 hours after 3:00 PM Monday is Monday 9:00 AM, which fits the requirement.

So, the only valid combination is: Launch = 66, Questionnaire = 138.

Finalization: 3 pm Monday
Launch: 5 pm after Monday
Questionnaire: 9 am after Launch day

Time difference between Finalize & Launch, \(L= 24j+2\), where \(j\) is the no of days after Monday

Time difference between Launch & Questionnaire \(= 24(k-1)+16\), where \(k\) is the no of days after Launch

Time difference between Finalize & Questionnaire \(Q= 24j+24(k-1)+18\), where \(k\) is the no of days after Launch

Launch:
\(L-2\) must be a multiple of 24

Option D \(98-2=96\) is a multiple of 24
Option F \(146-2=144\) is a multiple of 24

Since there is no greater number than 146 in options, Option D fits best

Questionnaire:

\(Q-18\) must be a multiple of 24

Looking at numbers greater than 98,

Option E \(138-18=120\) is a multiple of 24

Launch: D

Questionnaire: E

The decision happened at 3 PM on Monday. The campaign must launch at 5 PM on a later day. Calculating forward:

Monday 5 PM is too soon (only 2 hours later).

Tuesday 5 PM = 26 hours (too low).

Wednesday 5 PM = 50 hours.

Thursday 5 PM = 74 hours.

Friday 5 PM = 98 hours, which matches one of the given choices.

Next, the questionnaire must be sent at 9 AM after the campaign launch. Since the campaign is Friday 5 PM, the earliest 9 AM after that is Sunday 9 AM.

From Monday 3 PM to Sunday 9 AM:

Monday 3 PM → Saturday 3 PM = 120 hours.

Add 18 more hours to reach Sunday 9 AM ⇒ 120 + 18 = 138 hours.

Thus, the questionnaire is 138 hours after the decision.

Final answers:
Launch: 98 hours
Questionnaire: 138 hours

For Launch,

The Decision is made on 3PM on one day, and the Launch has to happen at 5PM on another day. The difference in hours between these 2 events = 24(n) + 2, where n is the number of days ->

>>5PM on Tuesday >> 24(1) +2= 26 hrs later
or 5PM on Wednesday >> 24(2) + 2= 50 hrs later

From the options we can see that 98 = 96+2 = 24(4) + 2

so 98 hrs is a suitable option for the launch, which would be 5PM on Friday.

Choose 98 for Launch

For Questionnaire

If 5PM on a day is the Launch, and 9AM on another day is the Questionnaire, the time difference in hours between the two would be 12(n) + 4
We know Launch happened at 5PM on Friday, already 98 hours after the Decision
9AM Saturday >> 98 + 12(1) + 4 = 114
9PM Saturday >. 98 + (12)(2) + 4= 126

And 9AM Sunday >> 98 + 12(3) + 4 = 98+ 40 = 138 hrs, which is given in the options

Choose 138 for Questionnaire

From 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on, at least, the next day, there are 26 hours plus 24 hours for each extra day.
The number of hours minus 26 must be a mutiple of 24.
Cheking the numbers, 98 and 146 are correct but only 98 is possible because there is no number greater than 146 to be chosen for questionnaire.

From 5:00 pm until 9:00 am on, at least, the next day, there are 16 hours plus 24 hours for each extra day.
Questionnaire can be 114, 138, 162...
138 is correct.

Correct answers: Launch = 98 and Questionnaire = 138
