Can you throw some light on your experience regarding Verbal, what kind of CR questions you encountered majorly and how was the difficulty on the RC end. Need to understand for pacing strategy
I felt verbal was tougher than mocks or OG questions, not sure if it was because of time pressure. I could not recall what kind of questions were the most but i can recall almost all the types of questions were tested except Boldface. Passages were definitely tougher, the last passage i got was very long with 4 lengthy paragrahs and i could not even understand what i was reading but somehow kept going and answered atleast two questions correctly.

sravanchowdary25, what about DI and quant? Was there 1 msr in DI or two?
And how lenghty were the graph questions if you remember?

Because I observe that in offical mock 3,4 the DI questions on grpahs tend to be either pretty easy and straightforward or some complex logic

I know that mock scores algorithms are very complex and cannot be predicted based on how many questions we did right. B ut I’m really scratching my head here. Can somebody help me figure out why is the score in DI reduced despite having performed better?

First the algorithm is not 100%

Then it depends if you got
continuous questions wrong or were they evenly spaced

Also depends if you get one of first two-three questions wrong

But realistically, with 8 incorrect, it's difficult to score an 84.

I took Official Mock 4 yesterday, and my biggest concern is that I scored a Q96, even though only 3–5 questions seemed particularly difficult, with about 75% of them rated at the highest difficulty level according to GMAT Club.
Is this representative of what I can expect on the actual exam? This mock felt very different from the other official mocks and the sectional quizzes on GMAT Club.
Has the scoring algorithm changed, or is there something else going on? If anyone could help me understand these differences, it would be greatly appreciated. Understanding what happened would help me identify areas for improvement, especially since I am taking my official GMAT attempt in nine days.

🔴 *New GMAT Success Talk Episode* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNXHaTfE4xg

Nishant scored 715 on the GMAT, but his prep was not just about learning more theory or solving more questions. What made the difference was how he reviewed and applied what he already knew
.
In this episode, Nishant shares how he:
• focused on application over theory
• spent up to 2 days analyzing every mock
• reviewed slow correct answers, not just wrong answers
• changed section order after testing it in mocks
• and improved his execution across Quant, Verbal, and DI

If your GMAT prep feels stuck even though you “know the concepts,” this conversation is worth watching.

The paid tests unfortunately have a fairly small question bank as you have discovered so the high scores are a bit unreliable in the paid gmat prep. Most people get a bit surprised by their official test after the GMAT prep exams 3, 4, 5, and 6.

They are built for a certain audience and primarily for people scoring between 25th and 75th percentile, or 20th and 80th but not for the people who are aiming to score in the top 1 or 3% so they’re less reliable as a predictor of high score scores.

Also, getting a high quality score is really Chany because a single mistake takes you down quite a bit... it’s tough

So it’s good you’re looking at it and questioning some of the results...

Because there are not many hard questions in the exam pack for that particular test, it doesn’t really have a high confidence and a high ability to estimate your true potential at that level. It would do a much better job if you were looking for Q 82 or something like that

It is not a bad product. You are just not the core audience for it.
