Has anyone noticed any difference between the new and the old patterns in terms of GMAT difficulty?

Has it become easier / harder / remained the same?

It's the same. The GMAC has confirmed that they have made no changes in the content or the algorithm.

Quote:
Q: Does this new feature impact the scoring algorithm?
A: No, the scoring algorithm used to calculate the exam and section scores has not changed.
