Yes, see the screenshot attached.
bb : are u referring to this post?
The announcement language says that you are allowed to retake the exam since you took the exam BEFORE PHYSICAL BOARD WAS PERMITTED.
Since, now the use is permitted (for exams after June11), I am not sure if scheduling an appointment TODAY will not make me ineligible for the retake.
Sorry for multiple posts for the same question.

Just a quick question... Do I have to have 16 days between online test and in person test as well? I have a July 2nd scheduled in person, can I set an online test for June 20?

Edit: Posting this as the online has suddenly become much more palatable with the whiteboard...

Also, any strategies for timing using just a one sided whiteboard??

There is no cool off period between taking the in- person and online GMAT... you can give the online exam the very next day after the in person exam if that works for you

People who want to order the whiteboard can order it from following link. The dimensions are 12 x 18 inches.(Only in India)
As for markers, I'm confused between .6mm & 2mm staedtler markers.

Does that mean a whiteboard similar in size (remember, GMAC says 1 erasable whiteboard no larger than 12 inches x 20 inches. No restriction on it being smaller, say A4 sized?) and feel to the one they provide at test center will be allowed as long as it is fully white?
The situation will then be as good as taking the test on the test pad with a thin tip erasable marker.

The size fits and it is technically NOT on the "banned" list of materials, so I suspect YOU CAN use it but some proctors may be thrown off by lines/grids so we won't know for sure until someone actually tries. :|

I would not buy that. It is a bit oversize... About 2cms. So risky IMO, but dont know how are they going to check.

The dimensions mentioned by GMAT are probably wrong because 20 inches = 50.8 cms not 43 cms. Plus if you measure in inches, it's completely fine because 1x1.5 ft = 12 x 18 inches.

I have a few questions.

1.) When I give the online exam, and I decide to apply next year(2022 intake) instead of this year, can I still use this score itself? I want to take the exam as I am prepared now.

This online score will be reusable right? Even if I send the score this year to colleges, can I apply next year? Do I need to resend the scores next year?

2.) For the physical whiteboard, can we have multiple markers? It is mentioned only one marker but we know that the ink gets used up pretty fast.

Please read carefully and note that the test retake option has nothing to do with the announcement of the physical whiteboard option starting on 6/11, which happened yesterday 6/4/20, and everything to do with the introduction of that option, which is already referred to in the past tense on the GMAC website, but is of course still 6 days in the future (6/11/20).

In conclusion and in support of bb, yes, you should still be able to register for the pre 6/11/20 GMAT, and then later take advantage of the test retake option with the physical whiteboard for an additional $200, unless GMAC tells us otherwise. I mean, how would this be fair to someone who happened to take the GMAT Online yesterday or today, or is registered to take it tomorrow--to not allow them a retake with a physical whiteboard like everyone else? Are we to expect everyone to always stay abreast of GMAC announcements, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Yes, it would be nice if GMAC were to answer this question explicitly, but if we wait for a more specific answer on the official website, then we might find that the window of opportunity has already closed.

Now, a slightly different issue that has been raised here: are you gaming the system by registering now for a pre-6/11 test, after the news has already been announced? Sure, but if GMAC will let you, then why not? Everyone else who has taken the GMAT Online has been given the same "2 for 1" opportunity, so why not you as well?

It's risk-free other than the cost ($400) and the time––and the fact that you won't have a physical whiteboard on the first try, of course. : )

mcelroytutoring : Thanks. I hope what you are saying happens to be what the GMAT also meant. But it is strange for them to leave that sort of a loophole.. They could have allowed to use the physical whiteboard (from the very next day of the announcement) for each new exam booked and provide the option of retake to the other candidates who used the online board
I am so used to using the online board that i know feel confident of giving the exam. Will surely attempt once before June10

What part of this statement are you doubting?

For test takers who took the GMAT™ Online exam before the ability to use a physical whiteboard (June 11, 2020) was made available, we are offering the option to take the GMAT™ Online exam an additional time.

Hi bb. When someone who has already given the GMAT Online with a whiteboard, tries to book the GMAT again (a date after 11th July), can they directly do it online, or they have to call the GMAC helpline and then do it? The reason why I ask is that earlier you were allowed to book the exam only once, so I'm sure they would have had some restrictions on this. Ideally they should remove that change that now. But still. GMAC helpline from what I've heard is super slow. Hence, checking.

Hi souvik101990. Since you've given the exam, can you just try booking the slot online (not actually book it)?

Hi bb. Thank you for the prompt response. So you're saying that if someone wants to retest GMAT Online with a physical whiteboard they have to call the GMAC and book a new slot. But for someone who is taking GMAT Online for the first time with a physical whiteboard they can do it online. Is my understanding correct?

Hi. What makes you think that GMAT online scores would not be valid past this year? They are valid for a year. It is clearly written that the test scores are valid for 5 years.

It is also clearly written that 1 marker is allowed.

PS. Seems you have a bit of mistrust of authority. ? which is understandable in these times of misinformation. Hope this does not impact your RC timing and process. Good luck!

I have a few questions.
