Thanks! Just saw it in the screenshot. My email was different and much more elusive.

Any indication if it is ONE or MULTIPLE retake options that will be available?
I have not seen any yet....

I got a different email as I have not taken GMAT in the last 6 months. Mine said: "We are excited to offer retesting as yet another enhancement to help you reach your b-school goals."

Just one retake. They mentioned that GMAT ONLINE can be taken twice.

So... I guess this is kind of good news.... unless you are applying to HBS or other schools that need your GMAT Score in September. What are your thoughts? I assume quite a few folks are planning on retaking the GMAT at Home but have not been able to?

I think I speak for everyone when I say, "Finally!" :D

So far, it's unclear whether GMAC is going to use the same policy as the physical whiteboard retake option (if you retake, then you are only notified of the score by GMAC if the composite score is higher--otherwise the previous score remains), and the FAQ section of the mba.com website still says that you can only take the GMAT Online once.

So if someone took the exam before the whiteboard requirement, then one exam after the whiteboard requirement but before retakes were available, will they be able to take 3rd exam in October when retakes are allowed?

I've wondered about this too, but for now I'm assuming that even those test-takers will be allowed to retake, unless GMAC says otherwise.

The underlying logic is that everyone deserves two attempts with the physical whiteboard, since the online ("OnVue") whiteboard requirement made the exam more challenging.

We're also still awaiting information as to whether this 2nd GMAT Online exam will count toward the yearly and lifetime limits.

Doesn't count towards the 8 time-limit, I assume.

I wonder if the GMAT will (later on) simply make the online GMAT an option choice indefinitely (but make it part of an 8-time limit)

I took online GMAT test on 29th August and got my score on September 1. Its not great. I got 600 ( Q45 V27) The only good thing is my last score was 490 ( Q36 V21).
The mail from GMAC - You can retake the test - sounded as if its meant for me! Because of my low score!!
But I wish they gave us ESR so that we can analyse our mistakes and make improvement.
I am planning to apply for PhD, so I am not sure if I should wait for them to add AWA section also in GMAT.

And why do we have all scores in multiples of 10? was this discussed before?

I guess minimum 3 and maximum 7 days. If you dont get it within 7 days, you should try to contact them.

It is a good new. Hopefully, the normal break between Quant and Verbal section would be allowed soon.

I am pretty sure that the second retake is not counted toward lifetime limit either.

What I do not know is whether anyone can take GMAT home-edition twice now even though he or she has not yet taken one.

Also there clarity about the break between quant and verbal. If it is permitted then it will be a policy change, thus making everyone eligible for a second retake.

Yes, anyone can take it. My email stated that now GMAT Online has a retake option, so anyone should be eligible. While there was one change due to the physical whiteboard introduction debacle, this does not seem to depend on any change and should be available to anyone.

I am sorry, I did I miss something about a break? Was there some information about it? or this is just speculating?
Thank you!
