I took the GMAT two days ago and before the test, the proctor asked me to remove all my jewelry (not electronic, just two bracelets). I could manually remove one of them but the other one is designed in such a way that it can only be removed by a screw (no possible way to remove this without the special screw). The proctor said that he recognised the type of bracelet but that he had to report me to GMAC due to an incident/policy violation. The bracelet is less than 1/4 of an inch and width and he inspected it. He said on the report that he wrote that it was unsuspicious and that the test taker could not remove it without the use of a tool. However, I checked the GMAC website and there is so such rule about wearing bracelets during the test. The rule simply states:
"Personal items, including watches, wallets, purses, bags, hats, large jewelry and hair clips, and coats are not permitted in the testing room." My bracelet was not large at all so I'm not even sure if it is against the rules. I took the exam at a Pearson center.
Since then, I have been able to download my ESR and I have not seen any notice or email since. I also was able to reschedule for another test in 3 weeks. Any advice or help would be much appreciated. Could my score be cancelled because of this? Will I get the dreaded "P" because of something as simple as this?
