Hi all.
I recently took my first PowerPrep Test and got 520 ( Q-41, V-22). I had prepared with "Kaplan 2003" before taking the PowerPrep test. Since the verbal score is poor and also not being a native speaker, I took Kaplan Verbal Workbook and about to finish the same. Although I am not a native speaker, still my basics as far the language is concerned is sound and comparable to a native speaker. I am really afraid to take the second "PowerPrep test" as this would be the last chance to test my confidence. I dont want to take a actual GMAT and get a score of less than 700. I would rather do the preparation the right away and put up a good score even if it would take more amount of time. Could anyone suggest as to what and how should I go about increasing my score, as I am really worried about my present PowerPrep score (520) and I have started beleiving that I cannot improve my score thinking that "aptitude levels of an individual would remain the same "- no matter what. Please help.

Sorry to disappoint you man, but most people actually find PP a bit easier in terms of difficulty. I think you need to score at least 720-740 to be confident to get 700 on the real thing.

VN is a very positive person.
Everyone has their own little problem to work on the score . Some have a bunch
Your verbal seems low. It is only 27% You definitely need to work on that
Math is 66% - does not exhibit extensive practice either...
As I said everybody has their own little punch to get the most bang for the buck; here are the most common:
- Studying for 20 mins now and then
- Taking too many tests and learning too little from theory
- not going over mistakes
- Not being thorogh with basics
- Being worried or not finishing on time - you finished on time and answered all teh questions, right?
- Being careless and missing numbers/making calculations errors
As to PP, I got 730 24 hours before I got 750...
You said you have taken Kaplan and stuff, how was that?
