Hi All !
I need some good piece of advice.
I had been preparing for GMAT for the last 3-4 months.
I am done with all the material they had provided and Official Guide as well.
I took all the 6 official mocks and 4-5 other mocks as well and had been scoring in the range of 600-650.
However, on the exam day things got messed up. I just wasn't nervous.
I got way below 530 on my actual test.
I need some help to plan for a retake.

Any leads would be of great help !
Thank you!

Hi,

I feel I am strong in Quant section, so can I start with verbal in the first month and then carry on with quant in the following month. Why or why would not it be a correct approach to follow. I have planned my GMAT in Jan 2020 so I gotta be very strict with timelines.

Hi,
I am preparing for GMAT and want to take it by march 2020. Just wanted to know how much time does it take to finish Quant GMAT Club tests by an average indian student. simply wanted to understand what time (how many hours in total) will be sufficient to finish them.

Thanks in advance.

Hello every one
I'm working hard for the last 20 days but didn't find any noticeable improvements. I'm just solving RC from OG 13th edition. I'm following LSAT reading bible where there is a lot of theory. Is there any way to improve the RC level significantly?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions?

If you intend to take gmat in about 6 months, start reading the Economist or Scientific American. This solution is a long-term one but works! Otherwise, just start with RC passages, go slow and try to comprehend at the first go (without re-reading the same line twice). Then slowly work on your reading speed, while comprehending at the same time.

Hi Everyone,

Its been 3 months that I am preparing for GMAT but my results are very bad, I have practiced OG 2018 and Manhattan 6th edition, and found both of them very difficult, then I started studying basics, Maths Foundation by Manhattan as I feel my basic math needs to be improved. I have covered all the topics now but still I feel difficult to comprehend the math questions within the time limit. I am really worried for the exam.

Can anyone suggest what should I do? As of now I have planned to follow gmat club practice question banks and from 500 level I should start attempting questions, one day one topic of maths along with english.

is it going to work for me?

Guidance will be very much appreciated

Hi Everyone,
I have been preparing for the GMAT for 2 months now. Have practiced from OG 2020 + Verbal Review + Quant Review + MGMAT SC+RC+CR and am pretty confident now.

These are my mock scores:
GMAT OP1 - Q47 V29 IR4 620
MGMAT1 - Q44 V36 IR7.3 660
MGMAT2 - Q44 V36 IR4.5 660
MGMAT3 - Q45 V36 IR7.3 670
MGMAT4 - Q46 V32 IR6.6 640
MGMAT5 - Q47 V36 IR5.2 680
MGMAT6 - Q45 V38 IR3.8 690
GMAT OP2 - Q50 V38 IR8 720
GMAT OP3 - Q50 V39 IR8 730
GMAT OP4 - Q50 V35 IR8 700

I am aiming for 750, and i would need stronger verbal skills.
My GMAT is in 7 days. Any last week advice ?
Thank you!

Hey guys,

I have given my GMAT 1st attempt after preparing for 1 week. I scored 610(A48, V23). I have written 3 practice tests before that and received 590,650,680. I am planning to write my 2nd attempt in 3 weeks. I am completely free during these 3 weeks. I want to focus only on verbal in these 3 weeks. I am targeting 720. What plan would you recommend? I am really poor in SC. Little better at Critical reasoning. Good in RC. Had 80% accuracy in RC, I am fairly confident in reading and understanding the long passages But terrible at grammar and CR.

Hi!

Thanks for your very informative post BB.

I started studying for the GMAT last week. I have a set of the 5th edition Manhattan Gmat books. I was wondering if it was worth it to buy the 6th editions Manhattan books or if the 5th edition books worked fine? I am trying to get a score of 700+ what additional materials would you use to study?

Thanks a lot!

Hi friends! I wanted to share this in case you're thinking about applying to graduate or business school and also interested in supporting small businesses in the midst of these challenging times. I prepped for the GMAT with TestCrackers and can't recommend them enough. All of their instructors have 99th percentile scores, and they completely support you through the study process every step of the way.

They have worked quickly to move their classes online and to offer the same expert instruction and individual attention that they have for years in-person. If you're interested, you can use the code STUDYINPLACE2020 to get $150 off any course purchased in April (www.testcrackers.org), or call them directly to talk through your situation. 415-323-5728

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about my experience.
