Grace's average bowling score over the past 6 games is 150. If she wants to raise her average score by 10%, and she has two more games remaining in the season, what must her average score on the last two games be?

A. 180
B. 190
C. 200
D. 210
E. 220

total score is 150*6 ; 900 for 6 games
and 10% increase in avg ; 165 *8 ; 1320
so difference; 1320-900; 420
avg of 2 games; 210

Average of 6 = 150
—> Sum of 6 = 150*6 = 900

Average of 8 = 10% more = 150 + 15 = 165
—> Sum of 8 = 165*8 = 1320
—> Sum of 2 = 1320 - 900 = 420
—> Average of 2 = 420/2 = 210

IMO Option D

Pls Hit kudos if you like the solution

Say, she scored 150 in each of the 6 games. She wants to increase her score by 10% i.e. by 15 and make it 165. So the two remaining games should bring in a score of 165 each and 15 extra for the previous 6 games i.e. 90 extra. So the two games should bring in 45 each extra.
The two games should come in at 165 + 45 = 210 each (average)

A. 180
B. 190
C. 200
D. 210
E. 220

Notice that sum of the past 6 games is 150 x 6 = 900. Increasing 150 by 10 percent is 150 x 1.1 = 165; thus:

165 = (900 + n)/8

1,320 = 900 + n

420 = n

So, the average of the remaining two games must be 420/2 = 210.
