Thanks in advice for your help my dear friend
My GMAT journey started in July 2015. I bought
Manhattan books and started to study then I bough Manhattan OnDemand course and
e-gmat course. From Jul up to Nov I did mu best to cover everything I can from the Verbal and Quant side. I tool the first attempt on 11 Nov 2015 and got 410 (Q33, V18). I was so disappointed but I never lost hope.
After my first attempt I bough
Magoosh to improve my Quant and re-study
e-gmat for Verbal and studied for two more months and then took my 2nd attempt in 6 Feb 2016 but unfortunately I got 430 (Q32, V20). I almost shocked to see such results. I knew there is something wrong in my approach to the exam.
After my 2nd attempt I contacted a private tutor who claimed to improve my score and he suggested that I start with ACT and SAT English materials to improve my Verbal and bought a lot of books to ace the GMAT. I spent around 1.5 months with him but the hourly fee was so expensive that I couldn't continue with him. After that I contacted another tutor and started with him and he suggested that I should focus only on
OG solving and underrating the questions with out time pressure then to time myself and then he gave GMAT paper test to practice under time pressure. Then I took GMAT Prep CAT on June 6 and got 500 (Q35, V22). Again, I'm not even close to my target of 660+.
I took 3 weeks break and got back again in Sep 2016. I subscribed again in
Magoosh (I did all Easy, Medium and Hard question from all topics in Quant) and
e-gmat. Later, I found Ron then I followed his explanation in SC because he teaches fundamentals that can work with any SC problem. I determined the official exam to be on Oct 20 but I delayed it because I'm not ready yet.
Today, I took GMAT Prep CAT and got 580 (Q41, V29). I was quite happy to see such improvements but I'm still little far from my goal. I'm planning to take the official exam in the mid of Dec so I have around 5 weeks to prepare because I need to catch round 2.
Please I need your advice and insights. What should I do in these 5 weeks to reach 660+.
Best,
Jabrah
