That's a jump from 500 to hopefully 620. I was surprised because I relatively found the questions easy, especially for Verbal. I would say I'm a lot stronger in Verbal than Quant and yet the scores don't differ that much. Although I did run out of time before I could submit my answer to the last SC question.
For Quant, I suspect I fell for the trap answer choices because 70% of the time, I knew how to derive the answers.
Here are the materials I've used so far:
Verbal and Quant -
Manhattan Prep books,
OGVerbal only - GMAT PrepNow videos
Quant only - Princeton Review
After reviewing the concepts, I started practicing using the
OG, although admittedly I've only finished about 40% of the Quant questions. Since I was doing relatively well, I decided it was enough.
I plan to finish all the practice questions on the
OG and probably take mocks every week for a month. More or less, I have an idea what my weaknesses are in Quant but ZERO idea with Verbal, since I've been almost perfecting my
OG questions and English is kind of my first language. I also read a lot, but I understand grammar rules are different in the GMAT, which I have taken note of.
I also have Kaplan Premiere and McGraw Hills. Any more tips and strategies to reach my target score?
Also, please do suggest some GMAT mock tests that are available online for free and would most accurately give an indication of my strengths and weaknesses. I've already overused Prac tests 1 & 2 on GMAC
Thank you!
