Hi
soxfan24, this is Kate from
mbaMission. Congrats on the great score. I wouldn't be too worried about an IR score of 4. Yes, we do typically see 5's and 6's for top schools, but you've got an excellent Q score, an engineering background, and a strong GPA, so I don't think a 4 IR will be a make or break type thing on your application. I would accept your score. If you have extra time and want to give the test another go, you could retake and submit that score if it comes out higher overall. Or even if you just got a higher IR score on a 2nd attempt but your overall score didn't change, you could write a brief optional essay to share that extra data point. Hope that helps!

Hi,
I recently scored a 730 (Q50 V39). I was very excited with the score with one stipulation - I scored a 4 on IR. My IR scores had never been below a 7 on any mock or actual exam, but I struggled on this particular exam. I'm having mixed feelings on whether to keep my score or not. Booth, Kellogg, and a few Ivy Leagues are the schools I am reaching for. I come from an engineering background with a strong GPA in my undergrad.
Are there any suggestions in regards to accepting or cancelling my score?
Thanks in advance!
