How fast was the train traveling 5/2 hours after the beginning of the timed period?

Actually, the question is a matter of converting time units from hours to minutes.
5/2 hours = (5/2)X60 = 150 minutes. By given data at the beginning of the 150th minute, train's speed was 65mph. So the answer is (D).

Time = 5/2 * 60 = 150 minutes or 2*1/2 hrs

Speed = 65 miles
