Hello,

I am wondering, how many mistakes can I afford on GMAT verbal and still score 44? I understand that GMAT does not follow a very straight and per question score based policy to calculate score but I dont think there are too many ways to score 44 either.

I am just trying to assess my position.

It all depends on the difficulty of the questions you get correct and the questions you miss

Okay has it correct. It is really dependent on the difficulty of questions you get.

That said, scoring a 44V leaves a very slim margin of error - to be in the 700-800 level questions you can't make many mistakes. I would venture to guess 3-5 questions MAX.

Hi there,

I was scoring around 44/45 in Prep and got around 7 Qs wrong. This is just a "guesstimate" though as it really does depend on the difficulty of Qs you get wrong.

Hi,
It is not number of mistake done. There are other two important factors should be consider Frequency of the mistakes & Position of the mistakes. According to me GMAT on line practice will help you to know how mistakes can be afforded.
