Hi, if you are rejected an admittance in R1, can you apply again in R2? (assuming you have made some improvements in your GMAT, professional and personal experience)

Or in general do you have to wait a year for you to apply to the same school?

Much thanks

Hi chrissjang ,

As far as I know, you can apply only once in a particular B School during a particular year. If you think you can improve GMAT Score or something, you can mention the same in optional essays.

This might lead you to get waitlisted in schools of your top choice.

You can always apply to other schools in Round 2 ( as a first timer). But as a re-applicant you have to wait for atleast one year.

All the best. :)

If you are rejected in R1, you can't apply again in R2. You need to wait until next year (or next intake) to reapply.
It is recommended to take this time to gain some distance from the emotional and time-consuming application process, and to review the materials you submitted to the schools with a critical eye. Moreover, it might be time to think about how realistic your list of target schools was and to add a few more to the mix. If you’ve been denied by a school that offers feedback to applicants and are planning on reapplying, you should absolutely take advantage of this opportunity to learn of the adcom’s perspective and demonstrate your commitment to the program.
We’d be happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you’d like to register on ARINGO.com for a complimentary profile evaluation. Or, check out our free admissions chances calculator! Good luck!

You will not be able to apply within that same annual application cycle so if you apply in R1 2017-2018 you cannot apply in R2 or R3 of 2017-2018 application cycle, you would have to wait until 2018-2019
